Thanks for stopping by, follow me through my year!
Well this is all pretty exciting for me. I am new to the "blogosphere" but thought I would document my journey through another deployment. This is the fifth deployment for my husband, and each one is different and difficult in its own way. There are many men and women out there just like me; spouses, fathers, mothers, sisters brothers, and children. So many of us that put our lives in a bit of a holding period waiting for our loved ones to come home. For most of us, we know the sacrifice our soldiers pay, as well as the sacrifice each of us pays while they are gone! For better or for worse, we keep the home fires burning.

One more thing for today
I am glad to see Rick Perry secured the votes for the GOP! KBH - you are too much of a Washington DC insider and I am NOT impressed!
Hey there! I am so glad I found your blog! I will be praying for you dear friend. I cannot imagine what you all go through. I am an American who is deeply indebted and thankful. Yes...get out there and get running! You know how much that does for our mental state!
Check out my blog on the new house we bought. It is a labor of love with the rennovation! www.fromhousetoahome.blogspot.com.
I have been married to Doug for almost 7 years, and been (back) together for a little over 10. Doug and I met on a blind date in Germany and dated for about 9-10 months and he DUMPED ME!! :-)
About 12 years later he called me, we started talking, he was at Ft Campbell and I was living in the DFW metroplex. We did that for about 3 1/2 years. Many long drives to Ft Campbell, and 2 deployments where we were not yet married.
I am a mom of a wonderful 17 year old son, Seth. I am currently enrolled at CTC in Central Texas taking my pre-req's so I can apply to the RN program. Not sure if that will happen here or at another duty station.
I like to run, ride bikes and read.
I love spending time with friends and family.
I love Texas!
